Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 October 2026
SimpleV VPN is operated by 99 Francs Agency ("we"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the SimpleV VPN app and service, and what we don't.
What we don't collect
- We do not log the websites you visit, the content of your traffic, or DNS queries made through the VPN.
- We do not log which IP address was assigned to which user at which time on our VPN servers.
- We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Account data. In free mode we create an account with no email. If you register, we store your email address and a salted hash of your password. If you register, we email you a link to confirm your address, and a one-time link when you ask to reset your password; these links expire (24 hours and 30 minutes) and are deleted a week later.
- Sign in with Google. If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address, Google account ID and a link to your Google profile picture with us (and tells us the email is verified). We use them only to create or sign in to your SimpleV VPN account: the account ID links your Google account to it, the email identifies the account, and we store your Google profile name and the profile picture URL (not the image itself) to show them in your account in the app and to our support team. They are refreshed each time you sign in with Google. We do not receive your Google password, contacts or any other Google data, and we do not post anything to your Google account. If an account with the same email already exists, signing in with Google links to it. You can remove SimpleV VPN from your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps; deleting your SimpleV VPN account deletes the stored Google account ID, name and profile picture URL.
- Session data. For each signed-in device we keep the IP address and app version (user agent) used to sign in, so you and we can spot unauthorised access. These records are deleted 30 days after the session ends.
- Usage totals. We count the total bytes each device transfers through the VPN, to enforce plan limits (for example the free daily allowance). We do not record where that traffic went.
- Subscription data. If you buy a subscription through Google Play, we receive the purchase status from Google so we can unlock your plan. We never receive your card details.
- Crash reports. If you turn on diagnostics in the app, crash reports (app version, device model, OS version, stack trace) are sent to help us fix bugs. They carry no account ID or IP address and are deleted after 90 days.
- Notification data. To send notifications we store a push token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging and a random installation ID for each signed-in device, plus the app language. They are deleted when you sign out on that device or delete your account.
- Region, language and time zone. The app reports your device's region setting (a country code), language and time-zone offset so we can show offers that apply where you are and never send offers at night. This is not derived from your IP address or GPS.
- Offers and notifications we sent. For each in-app offer we keep whether it was shown to you, tapped or dismissed (so it isn't repeated too often), and a log of the notifications we sent you (type and time), to enforce frequency limits. Both are deleted with your account.
- Invitations. If you invite a friend or join through an invitation link, we store your invite code, which account invited which, the installation ID of the invited device and whether the bonus was granted, to prevent abuse of the program.
- Marketing consent. Whether you agreed to receive offers and news, and when. Offers are only sent if you opted in; you can switch this off at any time in Settings. Service messages (for example about your data allowance or account) do not depend on this choice.
- Support messages. When you contact support from the app we store your message, the category you chose, the reply email you give (if any), your account ID and plan, and app/device details (app version, device model, Android version, language, selected location, connection state) so we can help you. The message is forwarded to our internal support channel. Support messages are deleted after 12 months, or earlier when you delete your account.
Browser extension
The SimpleV VPN extension for Chrome and Edge sends only the browser's own traffic through our servers, as an encrypted HTTPS proxy; other apps on your computer are not affected. It creates a SimpleV VPN account the same way the app does (free mode without an email, or sign-in with email or Google) and counts the same usage totals. In the browser it stores your session tokens, a random installation ID, the proxy credentials for your device, the selected location and your theme and language choices; they stay in the extension's local storage and are removed when you uninstall it. The extension does not read the pages you visit and does not collect your browsing history, and our proxy servers do not log the websites you open. While connected it tells the browser not to send WebRTC traffic outside the proxy, so sites cannot see your real IP address that way.
Why we use it
To provide and secure the service, enforce plan limits, process subscriptions, send notifications, prevent abuse and answer support requests. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure; marketing messages and crash reports are based on your consent, which you can withdraw in Settings.
Who processes it
Our control servers and database run on Railway (United States / European Union). VPN servers are hosted with infrastructure providers in the regions shown in the app. Notifications are delivered by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. Support messages are relayed to our team through Telegram. Account emails (confirming your email address, password reset links) are sent through Resend. Payments, when offered, are handled by Google Play. If you use Sign in with Google, Google verifies your identity (Google's own privacy policy applies to that step). These providers act on our instructions; we do not sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept until you delete your account. You can delete it at any time in the app (Account → Delete Account) or on this page. Deletion removes your account, devices, sessions and plan immediately.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, or object to its processing, by emailing sales@99francs.agency. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
SimpleV VPN is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will post changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
